About Lavender Essential Oil

Use Aromatically, Topically, or Internally

Lavender is an essential oil that has been used for millennia and is noted for its cleaning and healthful properties. Through modern scientific testing its time proven properties have been confirmed.  It is one of the most popular and well used of the essential oils. There are multiple types of Lavender (from different plants). The lavandula angustifolia species is more refined and therefore more expensive but has much preferred qualities to use for therapeutic use. The preferred Lavender is steam distilled from the flowering tops of plants with some of the finest quality coming from France (fine high altitude) and Bulgaria (super high altitude). These are joined together in equal ratios to create the Therapeutic Grade Lavender essential oil.

Typical Applications

Because of the gentle properties of Lavender it can be applied topically on even some of the most sensitive skin. Topical application almost always produces successful results. The lavender aroma is very calming. An additional benefit to applying the oil topically to a skin irritation on a child is that the aroma will also have a marvelous soothing effect. This same soothing aroma used in a diffuser can help reduce mental strain in both adults and children. Because of the versatility of Lavender oil, it can be used equally well topically, diffused, or in baths.

• Widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities

• Soothes occasional skin irritations

• Helps skin recover quickly

• Eases muscle tension

Lemon Essential oil is cleansing and uplifting.

About Lemon Essential Oil

Use Aromatically, Topically, or Internally
Lemon trees were first cultivated in China, then in southern Europe, and finally made their way to the Americas as early as the arrival of Columbus in the 1400s. The fruit has long been associated with freshness and cleanliness and now its aroma is commonly advertised with terms like ‘Lemon scented’ to entice buyers. Many essential oils are produced by distillation but Lemon and other citrus oils come from cold pressing the peel under great pressure. This eliminates the use of any heat and preserves the delicacy of the natural essence. Our Lemon Essential Oil is from the botanical family cultivar, grown in Italy, one of the best sources, and expressed from the peel of the fruit.

Typical Applications

Lemon essential oil has many uses.  It can help maintain healthy skin and tissue while also supporting blood circulation.  It also supports healthy respiratory and immune function.

Additionally, its pleasant sweet aroma is uplifting and can lighten any mood as well as cleansing the environment. One of the easiest ways to receive the remarkable qualities associated with Lemon oil is to diffuse it into the air or inhale directly from the palms of the hands. Lemon oil can be applied to the bottom of the feet or added to a glass of water (always look for the GRAS, generally safe for consumption label on the bottle before using internally) as a purifier or for a quick energizing boost. Interestingly, Lemon oil has also been known to be strengthening to the fingernails. Simply apply the oil directly onto the finger nails.

• Cleanses and purifies the air and surfaces

• Naturally cleanses the body and aids in digestion

• Supports healthy respiratory function

Peppermint is uplifting and invigorating.

About Peppermint Essential Oil

Use Aromatically, Topically, or Internally

Peppermint has been used through the ages by the Egyptians and Romans. It grows in Australia, Europe, and North America. It is widely used in foods, candies, gums, dental products, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Because of this wide acceptance, and hence mass production, it is important to avoid Peppermint essential oils that may come from some of the high volume production processes that sacrifice quality and purity for inexpensive volume. Low cost usually is not high quality. Our Peppermint essential oil is steam distilled from the flowering tops of the plant that are grown in the United States.

Typical Applications

Many studies have noted the power of Peppermint, even in smaller amounts for occasional upset stomach or respiratory function. Aromatherapists have long suggested using Peppermint either internally, aromatically, or topically. Topically a 1 or 2% dilution with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil or a high quality extra virgin olive oil can be massaged over the abdomen. It can also be applied to the bottom of the feet, the back of the neck for cooling, or at the temples as well. Internally, it can be used as an herbal ‘tea’ by using a couple drops in hot water.
Peppermint is often used to improve mental alertness and acuity. When applied to the bottom of the feet, Peppermint creates a cooling sensation. Its aroma is uplifting and invigorating and when used topically can be soothing to tired, sore muscles. Its cooling sensation is perfect for fresh breath and respiratory function. The FDA certifies our Peppermint as GRAS.

• Promotes oral and respiratory health

• Alleviates occasional stomach discomfort

• Provides all the benefits of Peppermint essential oil

Essential Oil Wellness Advocate

As a wellness advocate, I only use Therapeutic Grade essential oils that have been tested at independent laboratories for purity and composition. Many (but not all) can be used internally. They are clearly marked on the bottle as A (aromatic), T (topical), or I (internal). Always read the label carefully to be sure of the appropriate usage.
